And when it became plainly apparent to the whole world that the Direct Selling industry has a place in American and World Commerce; was there a reason that you persisted in your short position?
How does Herbalife stand within the Direct Selling community? No Mr Ackman, I'm not asking you this question; you do not seem to be able to judge that impartially. . . . . . . . ???????
It is bound to come crashing down. There are enough supplement companies out there, and they provide better products at an affordable price point.
HLF exists only to perpetuate the pyramid and enrich the corporation and those on top - products are just a vehicle to try to make it look like a legitimate business. Only a matter of time before this goes to ZERO.
I don't think it is very difficult to imagine the following is happening right now:
FTC will have no choice but to investigate Pershing's claims - they are serious charges
SEC will be scrutinizing for more disclosure
FDA will be looking at ;Nutrition Clubs'
Class action lawsuits
Actually, the entities to look at nutrition clubs are the local municipalities, whose job it is to enforce codes and health regs. Each club has already passed that scrutiny or they wouldn't have gotten a business license. But then again, you wouldn't know that since you've never done anything constructive, lie start a business.
The facts. Not emotional cry for help indicates Ackman has stepped way over the edge and now can not come in off the ledge. He has talked himself into a corner. When the earnings are announced and the company states their next steps the trap of Ackman's own making will snap down on his bony little chicken neck. His trap, his neck, MY profit. Thanks Bill for the help. I guess you and Ron Johnson are spending too much time about building shops that no one wants or needs.
