Who is buying Apollo Group, and why? What do you estimate will be the revenue when it's reported in June? From what I gather, the federal revenue stream is drying up. When students use private loans, they will run out of money faster--which means lower graduation rates and more defaults than they have already. I think others will be worse off than APOL (Devry, Corinthian), but I don't see how Phoenix will survive long term under its current business model.
I cannot imagine anyone buying APOL long term--ever again. Maybe some elderly ladies getting tips from a boiler room salesman. It's ironic, Apollo continues to take in suckers from the stockholder side and the student-customer side--as a few day traders try to compete with Goldman Sachs computers on fluctuations to the bottom.
