    Exuses this time?

    So what's the excuse this time, lousy sales people like ORCL, or bad weather in the east Sandy et al, or just no one is buying what they are trying to sell? CEO was on Cramer after earns last quarter and PROMISED they would fix everything about poor execution and they would be back on track yadda yadda.

    • from the call (looks like a copy of the Oracle remarks):

      1) lousy sales people in the US and the UK
      2) large deals slipped
      3) pipeline the biggest ever

      clearly the software space has deep and troubling issues given the results from ORCL and TIBX - even more concerning the companies are denying the change in the demand environment so far

      TIBX guidance for next quarter is really underwhelming again - wouldn't touch the stock here

      • remember that the company actually missed already REVISED guidance (they lowered forward guidance on the last call) and also guided for a very weak next quarter.

        at some point analysts and investors will stop to buy management's excuses about regional execution issues and just looking at things as they are: the demand environment has become way more challenging with big competitors like ORCL and IBM catching up.

        I don't think they will right their ship anytime soon if at all as the demand trends are working against them - would expect to end the company being bought out over the medium term.
