NOV is not moving because the price of oil is up or down. NOV is affected by drilling activity. Drilling activity is up and will stay up even if oil goes to $60 per barrel.
I live in oil country and know guys that work for NOV. When I moved here is 2000, oil was $17 a barrel. They were pumping then and making money. NOV doesn't need $100 oil to make money. Drillers don't even need $75 oil to chase that black tea. We are a long way from any slow down. Have you people not listened to any conference calls and heard about the backlogs NOV has? Do you really think that the world is going to quit or even slow down in its use of oil?
There are a bunch of cry babies on this board acting like they bought a bunch of options and are getting gutted. I challenge anyone to find me a better INVESTMENT in the stock market right now. Not a TRADE but an investment. Just hang in there and buy a little more at this level if you can afford it.
yeah, that's all well on good, but none of it matters when idiot hedge funds are swinging this all over the place like some kind of bopiler oom stock. Don't preach about onvestments when you're seeing weekly 2-% swings.
