    Most Basic Stock Idea

Please correct if I'm wrong here.
    In basic
ideas, owning a share of the stock is like owning a
piece of the company. You receive a piece of what ever
    the company makes.
What I don't understand is how
some stocks can have PEs over 100.

worth it with a PE that high. It's not like earnings
will increase that dramtically in the future to earn
make the price of the stock in profits.
the price of the stock be almost totally based on the
PE and what the PE will be in the future?
