I'm seeing lot's of ignorance regarding the future of GMCR. The bears and shorts are presenting worst case scenarios. Will competitors take some market share away when the patent's expire? Yes. Enough to end the strong earnings growth? No. The bears are keeping quiet about marketing. They know the value of the names K-Cup and Keurig and that's why other major brands have signed on. Why aren't other travel companies beating Priceline? Why haven't cheap sodas stopped Coke and Pepsi? Why hasn't krispy rice beat rice krispy's? Why didn't beta beat vhs? It's all in the marketing and it's too late to take that kind of market share away(sorry). The bears will win in the short run by playing the patent thing over and over, but it will be at the expense of nervous people afraid to leave their shares alone. So, don't get too taken in by einhorn, greenburg and other bears. They're just trying to make a buck in the short run.
Agree with you. But the bears have taken advange of this subject to paint the devil on the wall and they will bring it up for the next 12 months, over and over. Time will proof that they were wrong, but by that time they have made their money and looing for a new victim.
Who You Kidding? I already can see the generic box labeling. It will say that it fits the Keurig machines. You can bet your bottom dollar that the Keurig will be so big on the box that people will think they are buying Keurig Coffee.
I'm sure Gio, if you could actually afford a nice sports car, that you would want to put cheap gas in it!!!
C'mon man, use your noggin.
Do think people would buy a cup of convenience store coffee if it was sold inside starbucks?
Your logic is so predictably stupid.
Would you buy a Harley and wear a honda helmet...or put a Honda exhaust on it to quite it down a little...
We could go on, but I think I made the point here!
Over your head?
Why haven't cheap sodas stopped Coke and Pepsi?
Good point! As far as Herb goes, I think he's just mad because he missed the freight train to the top of the mountain. If he used his brain instead of his ego, he would be retired already.
