IAM 751 Busted, Machinists Now Officially Boeing's BYATCH
BWAA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! ... BWAA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! ... Year upon year upon year upon year upon year of record orders, record deliveries, record profits and RECORD PAY for McNerney, the other executives and the Machinists vote to cut their retirement by 40%, significantly increase their health care costs and slow their wage growth. McNerney and his $234,000 a month pension THANK YOU!!! He and all of the other executives will still get a pension of course, in addition to all kinds of other goodies. The Machinists might as well just vote to decertify IAM 751 because it is over. You guys are DONE. I don't ever want to hear any of you crowing again about how the IAM is the only union at Boeing with a backbone, with the courage to stand up to the company and about how SPEEA is just the IAM's weak sister. Really? At least we didn't vote to cut our own retirement benefits. In contrast, you guys rolled over like a dead fish. ROFL Of course, that's short lived. I have no doubt that the company will now turn its attention to us and blackmail us into voting for a pension freeze as well. I won't do it. I've got a spine, but many of my fellow engineers do not and they will roll over just like you did.
Chalk up another big win for the companies and corporations, who no longer want to share any of the profits that their employees allow them to earn and whose greed knows no bounds. It's sad and why the middle class in the U.S., which has been under assault for decades, is disappearing. Come back in another 10 or 20 years and there won't be a middle class in the U.S. The U.S. will be more like Mexico, where there are a small number of "haves" and everybody else, scratching around in the dirt trying to make a living. For many, retirement will be an unobtainable dream, a relic of the past (note that this is already happening). Goodbye middle class. It was nice knowing you.
BS Any company that shows a profit BO's out to pillage, and plunder their profits trying to offset some of the massive debt the left has created. And contracts are negotiated based on the future outlook, and it ain't good under liberal governance.
This "good paying job" wasn't given to me. I EARNED it. I earned it by going to college, by spending six years of my life working my #$%$ off to get a college education in a field (engineering) that's usually in high demand and pays fairly well. And you?
