especially if it continues to rise next week, right now, the change of it dropping close to $8 in the next 30-60 days is much higher than it approaches $9, IMHO. Of course, I never have perfect timing but AINV is probably one of the weakest BDC and I believe the whole BDC sector will tank in the next 60 days. TCAP, supposedly one of the best BDCs (with MAIN), has already start tanking last week, because it was way overvalued. While AINV is still not that overvalued, but at its current price, it is not a very stable LT hold. AGNC and MTGE are almost better LT holds especially if both drop in prices.
Of course, both AGNC and MTGE are REITs and I am comparing apples with oranges, I just try to make a point because usually REITs are much more risky than BDCs because they use a lot more leverages, but in this case, AGNC just dropped due to its recent SPO and it stood strong at around 31.73, with a respectable Benajmin guru rating a very respectable 15% yield. MTGE also went up last week. Therefore, to me, both are actually better LT buys than AINV. Of course, once again, I can be wrong.
