With 7 million shares short last month, its not suprising to see the stock at $13.20. Does NOT mean there will be a higher offer.
But, we do get dividends and, if the deal doesnt close by year end, a slight increase depending on how long it takes I believe.

So that, plus the dividend is a good reason to hope it drags out. (As compared to a savings account)
yes-- you are correct--- there is a formula for every day past Dec 31 that this deal takes to close. Also if it goes into January too far-- another dividend should be there as the company is committed to keeping the dividend until the deal closes.
