yo spliter... if we simply look at history, what people before us have done... they are just like us... simple humanoids. Are we supposed to be better than everyone else has been? If so, then how did all those brilliant scientists and star gazers we've only heard about, manage to figure out so many things without all the technology we have today? They made it possible for what we have been able to accomplish. But nobody gives a damn about knowing the past... therefore we keep committing the same humanoid mistakes. Some of us just never learn. Like you mentioned, some things you could have handled better. Now you know it... it's your own history that taught you that. Just think what we could and should already know if we paid attention.

    • Re: We are all products of our own environment...

Map the Maya collapse onto human lifespans and the real scale of the process comes through. A Maya woman born in 730 sees the crisis dawn, but the cities still flourished when she died at age 70. Her grandson born around 800, grew up in a disintegrating society, so the wars and crop failures of his time would seem ordinary to him. His great-granddaughter, born around 870, never knew anything but ruins sinking back into the jungle, and leaves the city not realizing the end of their civilization was near. We see gradual disintegration, not sudden catastrophic collapse over approximately 250 years of a repeating pattern, as we collide with the limits to growth. It’s said that the United States has a widely held conviction that we are exempt from history. The idea that our gleaming industrial cities might someday become crumbling ruins no different from other civilizations is outside the realm of imagination. Most of us don't know it, but it's already happened here… in the Old World of the North American continent it shows a corrective to our delusion of invulnerability. Huge urban centers existed here long before the first Euroean explorers blundered their way to the Atlantic coast. From Copan in the Yucatan jungles to Cahokia on the plains of the Midwest, urban civilizations in America rose, flourished, and fell in the same slow rhythmic pattern. But what do we know about history and how fragile we are in relation to our declining supplies of energy in all forms. Will our children and their children live the way we do without oil. While it is being depleted, the population of the planet keeps growing. Something's got to GIVE. But all this generation does is TAKE.

    • QWAK,Change your MIND and you change your WORLD!

It is NOT the world that actualy changes, but rather how WE relate to ALL we concider to be our world and THAT changes EVERY THING!:thinkey::yes::shine:

"ALL is ONE" --- The diference in perception amounts to perciving SELF as "a part of ALL" rather than seeing SELF " APART from ALL" -- it is NOT just semantics, it IS a POLARITY shift -- it is a PARADIGN change that changes EVERY THING because it is a FREE WILL CHOICE and requires one to break long established habits and concistently remind self, so that NEW and better habits are established!:thinkey::yes:

IT can NOT be IMPOSED on another, only sugested as an ALTERNITIVE to the OTHER!:yes:

IT is the KEY to understanding CREATION and and KNOWING that "ALL is GOD" and EACH is but a tiney fraction of ALL!:shine::yes:

When one PERCIEVES "GOD" in SELF then ONE conducts SELF acordingly and acts in a "GODLY" mannor to ALL OTHERS!:15_1_70v::thinkey::shine:

IT is a natural progression in identifing WHO each IS, much the same as progressing from being a CHILD -- focused and only concerned with SELF and becoming awair of OTHERS and that there NEEDS are also IMPORTANT!:36_3_13:

IT allows ONE to truely feel the JOY and happines in the acomplishments of OTHERS -- rather than feeling ENVYIOUS of OTHERS and it also makes ONE feel there PAIN and a desire to RELEAVE there SUFFERING by SHARING with them!:shine:

You may want to save THIS and share IT with others. IT is a movie with almost no words but IT will talk to you in ways YOU will both FEEL and UNDERSTAND! :)

    • QWAK,eggs,I don't know what my grand fathers first name was, he died when my dad was very young 5 or 6 I think and my grand mother remaried. My dads name was Frank and my older brothers name is Frank after my dad, so it is posable that my grand fathers first name was Franko. :)

There was a disconect from both sides of in my family during the 1930s so as kids we had ADOPTED aunts and uncles and almost no links to the passed.

I am inclined to believe that wile heratage can be a big part of who each of us are, what is most important are the choices we each make as INDIVIGUALS in our current existence.

What may or may not have happened in the passed is a factor of corse but the choices WE make are of far greater importance as we progress in to the future.
