The Coca-Cola Company Message Board

I just want to make a comment about earnings before they come out. I said a while back that my estimate was for .34 EPS. The
consensus then was for .36 EPS. Now the consensus is for .34 a share. Coke is looking very flat to me. Someone must have left the top
off the earnings. Last year if it was not for the sell of the bottling company earnings would have also been flat. I have owned
coke since 1990 and have never seen earnings look this weak. When I bought coke I paid around 22 times earnings now coke is
trading around 47 times earnings. Just something to think about. Good luck!

    • Do you think earnings will be flat considering their Case volume was 10% compare to analyst's estimates of 8%. And if you add in the four extra shipping days, Case volume was 14%.

Comments made by analysts when the Case Volume was announced.

"The solid increase in case volume internationally will likely translate into higher first quarter operating results, which Coke is expected to announce around April 15. Q1 EPS could well exceed the analysts' mean estimate of $0.34 compiled by First Call."

Also it was mentioned the Case Volume is a clear indication of how well the upcoming quaterly earnings will be.

The above info is for all investors who worry quarter after quarter weather KO will meet estimates or not. Disregard the message if you are long time investor such as myself.

      regards, ODN1
