Think about this seriously: if 90% of the float is held short, that means there are natural(forced) buyers for 90% of the stock. that can only be seen as bullish. i know it is absurdley valued, but i was lucky enough to get out of a heavy short on the recent pull back. and i made money! however with there being so many ready made byers out there, the 1.5m shares that may come onto the market will not make much difference. it seems to me that bartel has managed to extract a ridiculous price for all his shares.
I disagree, or at least the Series 7 had a question on this that disagreed with you.
When you move your stock into a cash account (or take it in certificate form), it can't be sold without your permission, nor can it be lent.
I wouldn't be surprised if hedge fund ramping this is doing that.
what could be happening is that large holders are moving their shares from margin to cash accounts (getting ready to dump). This is forcing short sellers to cover their positions and therefore drive up the price. i see either strategy as risky right now. too bad there are no travelzoo options
apparently bartel is eyeing an exit well above current levels.
No, he just didn't sell because the holders of the pipe shares got ticked off that he wanted to sell around the time that they were, for obvious reasons; they fully understand what's going to happen when the float increases that much and didn't want him stealing their thunder. So they get to sell, and rest assured, he will too in a few months after the dust settles. I do like your picture though!
uh, ok, i thought making a net of 5 points in a day was preferable to a loss. there's that first grade mentality again, i guess. i dont care where tzoo is a year from now. it is making me $$ now. i must just be trying to accumulate the wealth you must already have.
someone said earlier that tzoo is a trading vehicle. that is about the only logic that actually applies. the share structure is on the long's side and with exception of expected pullbacks here and there, it will continue to be on the long's side until bartel sells. apparently bartel is eyeing an exit well above current levels. jmo.
