    • I've never sold any shares from my Etrade account, only added. My other two accounts I have made a couple of trades, but not this one. I bought a total of 2000 shares back in the summer of 2010 and haven't bothered with them. I was adding 500 more since the cost was lower than my average at $2.84 and this $3.37 buy price is irking me when that is not what the price was and not the amount of money I had available at the time and it's screwing up by basis.

      • A "limit purchase of $1275" ???? Did you perhaps set the limit price at $1275? If so, yes... the MM's will take your money if you're not careful. I forget which stock, but I put a market order in when the stock was heavily trading for 10K shares... and ended up with 200 of them out of the market ... just like yours. Was my stupidity. If I really want shares, I put use a limit, but put it above the current price. Fidelity will usually give me the best price. I gave up on Etrade a long time ago because they screwed me too many times by always hitting my limit and taking the spread (which is illegal).
