Can anyone tell me why Galt went up from $1.60 to over $12?

I don't see any real major reason in the news.

    Thanks for any input.

    • An unnamed investor shows up, unsolicited, and writes a check for $3 million for 500,000 GALT. First Manhattan Corp.(Ichan) took a new position of 1667 shares, as of June 30 2013,. was he just starting to buy? Who is this mystery investor? Anyone ask Investor Relations at GALT??? They need not disclose until stock sells, rule 144. This is a matter investors deserve knowing. Who bought the $6.00, 500,000 shares of GALT?

Without all the smart #$%$ comments Fatty liver disease is estimated from 9-36% of the world population and 20% of the US. It is linked to obesity which is a statistic that is considered the number one health problem in the US by the last two surgeon generals. The market for this disease is almost limitless so wait for a pullback and buy a few a forget about it. You will be happy a few years from now. GL

      • 20 percent of Americans or more are obese. That doesn't mean they have the disease. It does mean that they can easily develop it. I believe the number that have it in this country is more like 3 million.
The only reason that number isn't higher is people don't usually last that long once
they develop fibrosis. There only hope of survival is a new liver.
PS- When a person trades and they don't do there homework about the stocks they are interested in,
its a very solid reason not to quit there day job. If they did there homework and cant see the reason for
the jump, that's an even better reason not to quit. My guess is that 9-36% of the yahoo message world will disagree with me.
