I liked it better in the 50’s, when Time Square was decorated with things other than flat screens. Things like the Pepsi water falls, the Camel sign blowing real smoke rings, and Little Lulu on the slide. And for 15 cents you could take the subway all the way to Coney Island and get a vodka Collins at a Martin’s Bar for 50 cents.
My company had a depot in Commack, Long Island. Another tech and me, took the train into Manhattan for the day. First and last time I was there (NYC). When to Metro Museum and up the Empire State Bldg, was all we had time for. So much to see.
I was surprised to see that the streets were so narrow. I guess, cause it's an old city.
