I'm sorry to break this to a lot of folks but talented, educated caucasions with experience in many fields are not getting hired or getting fired from work. My secure job was taken by a Hispanic with poorer education and less experience. Has this ever happened to anyone and do I have a lawsuit? serious replys only or contact me by email
I have experienced reverse discrimination as a result of "affirmative action" all my life. And, it is not just a ebony/ivory thing either. Throw women into the mix too. Still, I'd rather have been discriminated against instead of looking in the mirror every morning and seeing a knee-grow look back.
Serious question - did you complain? Did you say anything like "Why are you replacing me with someone with less experience and education?" Or did they make a new position (remove yours, add his)? I think you definately have a valid suit if you were directly replaced - if they just ended your position and made a new, lower pay, lower requirements one, then it might be tough.
I am in contact with a couple lawyers and may have a shot. I am not depending on it. For now, I am hustling 3 jobs and have 2 interviews next week plus have one friend left with inside connections to get back to mid-mgmt at a competing bank
I am gonna screw everyone now who screwed me. Anyways, off to wrok I go
You may want to revisit the part about being educated (check your spelling of "replies").
In any case, it's not a black or white thing, it's just the NEW American Corporatocracy... cut spending and stockpile as much cash as possible.
You guys are to funny. Poor white people. Now maybe you know the pain of being judged by your skin color. ….
My guess is the guy was a lousy employee…… so he got the ax. The new guy might also have wanted less money.
The right wing has turned our country into a corporate only work place.
Chains and franchises
If you have the chops get a job with a small company. We only hire people that we want to hire. No quotas here.
BTW if we had strong unions, evil employers would have more pressure on them to keep employees with seniority.
But you guys are against workers right…too funny
Generally, the way it works is that if an employer let's you go without cause then it entitles you to an unemployment check. Who knows what a lawyer could make of it. It would also depend on your states laws regarding employment. Oregon is a right to hire right to fire state. They don't have to say anything.
okay, well I am looking into it. For the time being, I work 3 part time jobs (2 off books) to make ends meet. My property and school taxes alone are $11k a year and not having full time work is #$%$ me off. I know I will get something soon but I tell you, go to any banks now and you see all Hispanic and Black. Then the media will complain there is not enough in higher management.
Good white peoplle here, think about it. We are now the minority and times are changin and the cuntry is getting worse. I am leaving now. I just had to rant
Sorry you got booted. You are a victim of the times The people leading the country have a lot to pay back and need lots of money to redistribute to the ones that voted them into office. Law suit IMO would be good only for the lawyers.
Not myself, but I know someone that works for BNY (bank of new york mellon) and they see what you just described all the time. The blacks come in 30-45 minutes late each day and nothing happens to them. If your white and do the same thing, they show you the front door. Go see a lawyer my friend and sue their a*# off.
option, my little brother went for an inventory job at a company called RGIS. He is white, out of work with a college degree. He was told he is "Over qualified".
I was in rite-aid yesterday and 5 African Americans in 2 aisles were counting the store shelves. This country is not right and this is on Obama's agenda to keep the white man down. No lie
