Deflation seem's to be the theme.

As a trader, I sold SLW as the candlestick's are not positive. I put the proceed's in VTIP... now 75% in VTIP 23% in VIG and 1% each in WMT,XOM, and SWC in my ira account. In a deflationary trend why does VTIP go up. Well because it is short term United State's government debt. The United State's, thank's to fracking is perceived to be safe. Which I agree.

    • you may know trading but I have to wonder if you live on this planet. Deflation? Go outside and buy some things friend. The only "deflation" is in gadgets, everything we need to live goes up. Then again tom the younger generations an Iphone is a need because they don;t know the difference between wants and needs.

    • With all these negative post's on the U.S. stock market, as a contrary, maybee the stock market will rise short term. As a trader I am aware that congress will not be in session until next week. Mostly in VTIP now, but hold VIG. From past history, normally when congress is "not" in session, the U.S. stock market on average rises.

      • The japan stock market is up big time. In my personal thinking, thank's to the fracking revolution, U.S. stock's will rise, despite the republican's wanting our Commander in Chief to fail. VIG has a theme of only investing in corporation's with rising dividend's. In this deflationary environment, that is good. The U.S. stock market has doubled since our President Mr Obama was inag. And still the republican's hate our Commander in Chief!
