DJ Sanofi: 58% Of 2010 Dividend To Be Paid In Shares, 42% In Cash 1:20 AM Eastern Daylight Time Jun 15, 2011 PARIS (Dow Jones)--French pharmaceutical group Sanofi SA (SAN.FR) Wednesday said shareholders representing 58% of its shares opted to be paid the 2010 dividend in shares. On May 6, the company's shareholders approved a proposal to pay a 2010 dividend of EUR2.5 per share, with the option of payment either in cash or in new shares of the company, Sanofi said in a statement. The option period was open from May 16 to June 3. As a result of the option, the company will issue about 38 million shares, which represents about 2.9% of the company's capital.
