Weekly Roundup: A Stock-Picker's Market Jim Cramer 05/20/11 - 06:48 PM EDT
Sanofi-Aventis (SNY:NYSE; $38.29; 2,600 shares; 3.15%; Sector: Health Care): I picked up more SNY shares this week. I'm bullish that the company has been transitioning toward growth segments such as diabetes, vaccines, animal and consumer health, which now account for 60% of sales. 2012 will be the weakest year for earnings, given the patent issues (Plavix/Iscover, Taxotere, Avapro/Avalide and Ambien CR all going off patent), but after that, the company is in good position to outgrow its peers with 5%-7% growth from 2013 to 2015, given its exposure to high-growth segments. It has two analyst meetings upcoming (June 28 and Sept. 6) that will likely be positive catalysts for the shares. At 8x earnings, the stock remains attractive. My target is $45.
