Seems like every day some analyst is downgrading PPC.
Do they think PPC is at the end of it's run?
Personally, as someone in the poultry business in Georgia , I haven't seen market conditions this favorable towards producers
High prices, stabilizing commodities, and producers controlling supply - I think we will be printing money for the next few months, and hopefully with some good weather this spring, through 2013.
BRAND: My "MOLES"....ARE PREACHING the Same "SERMON".... It all comes down to: Flat to decreased EGG-sets....Feed prices Capped By imports... & DECENT SALES Prices.... Folks forget, in the past 2.5 years We have watched several Smaller Poultry Processors/ Regional players Go BK.... & disappear.... Word @ both TYSON & PPC ...".I hear"....IS: INVENTORY will remain UNDER EXTREMLY TIGHT CONTROL(S.).. Both PPC & Tyson CURRENTLY? Decline to Repeat past Cycles... OF OVER PRODUCTION.... & WARS for Market Share.... At LEAST.... For Right Now..... Who Knows ??? In Spring It could get CRAZY again... If Feed Futures... Drop... & WEATHER improves for The Summer Grilling Season.... Keep Us Briefed on Your "OUT TIMES" & if those down times Drastically CHANGE......Wildman.
Bottom line no more chicken wars, though has been to the valley of the shadow of death and no one is going back, will charge margins needed to make a profit.
What I like about PPC is they have the muti protein platform with just the carrying cost of a poultry company. Still think us minority share holders get bought out sometime.
