tred on me,
See your from Chicagoland. Were you a community organizer too?
Get a life as I am tired of working to support other's who can and don't it is as simple as that. That is what church's are for to help people who can't help themselves not people who can help themselves.
Get it yet or do I have to make more easier for you to understand.....................................................
sully - I almost missed it - another loser on Medicare bashing govt involvement in their health care! Answer us this one - how many private insurers out there would be scrambling to provide you with affordable insurance - you are the definition of a pre-existing condition?! Obviously, senility has already kicked in, so you should just be thankful for your Medicare and try not to strain the few functional brain cells you have left!
Who's asking the govt to be all things. It is simply recognizing that in our modern society (as opposed to your neanderthal world view) doctors have taken an oath to treat the sick and hospitals can be sued for denying treatment to the sick. Therefore, what is the best way to fund this commitment when the private market fails, which it has miserably. The majority of the uninsured do work - they are either self-employed or work for small firms that can't afford to participate in the employer-based racket. What is your solution to the waitresses, cab drivers, etc. that don't make enough to afford private insurance (or can't get it because of a pre-existing condition) and don't qualify for Medicaid - let the dinosaurs eat them?
>>If you don't work you don't eat If you don't have insurance u die.The government can not be all things to all people learn how to take care of yourself<<
Before we had Social Security there were poor elderly that died because of malnutrition. Is this the bastion of libertarianism you would like to go back to? Do you really want to again see the elderly begging in the streets?
