So much of a recession play. Don’t bother teasing me on the $20’s. I won’t settle for less than $50's early next year. Seriously, do your own DD. Even closing the business and living on royalty income from orofacial therapeutic, the value of BMTI is around $7. Are you seriously valuing the orthopedics business at $0 ?!?!
Anyone in SanFran attending the Annual BIO Investor Forum next week? Any feedback of Private Equity reaction to the presentation is very well appreciated.
I know I said don’t bother teasing me on the $20’s, but I have to factor in CEO’s massive sell of stock. So, I’ll sell at $20. Besides, this was my recession play…and recession is over, right?
gone fishing, still.
Since nobody posts info from the bio ceo and investor conference, I’ll speculate…guess what, the results from the 436 patients will be ready way before the Luitpold’s $10 million infusion from European approval…
going fishing, still.
up 50% from the lows. Easy money if you weren't frozen (I own plenty, and I was). Even though I missed the jump, I still like it better in the 7s than in the 4s and 5s. That was a little gut wrenching.
Now...back to 10.
Our insider buyer NVO is winking:
Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Novo Nordisk A/S is earmarking as much as $2 billion for takeovers in the next 12 months as the financial crisis forces cash-strapped biotechnology companies onto the market, Chief Financial Officer Jesper Brandgaard said.
Can you show your work on the $7 valuation? I like BMTI here, but the action is so bad, that I'm getting nervous. Why do you think it down? They have data due soon. Besides the data, any other pieces of news that could make this thing go up, especially near term?
Sure I can post my work when a short post his defending $5.48.
I suspect that we have a market that has nothing to do with rational valuations. I have to agree with Cramer on this one. Today his theory is that at around 2:20pm redemptions hit. Check BMTI’s action around 2:20pm today. This market is about hedge funds helping each other on doing damage control clearing weak hands in the process.
Like you I am getting nervous about BMTI but I'm trying to take some comfort from the general market malaise that seems to explain the depressed price level and the fact that Novo A/S was buying BMTI in early September over $10. Novo has since stepped away but I doubt they have a different opinion on BMTI's prospects because they haven't been selling (at least no selling has been reported). BMTI has a history of success with their dental product and therefore that gives me confidence that their ortho products will also be successful.
How do you assess the possibility that problems will arise with their ortho products?
