Right now PGH because they do not have easy access to the World Market they have to sell at a discount. If Keystone does not get built Canada will build their own to get the energy to the China Market. By not building Keystone; the US will lose out on a lot of jobs. This energy will find the World Market. There is just to much money involved not not to get it there.
Just to keep things straight, the Canadian Northern Gate pipeline and the West to East pipeline are both running into stiffer opposition than the US Keystone XL is. And if they were both built there would still be a surplus of tar sands oil that needs to be moved. Point is Alberta will have lots of oil and they need every proposed pipeline to get their oil to markets, and if the pipelines are all built there will still be a need for RR tankers, such is the projected volume of oil in the Alberta area. What we really need is a world economical recovery, for now it is still sluggish, and with that and the increased production from Iraq and the added oil from the Iranian agreement, plus the decline in US need for oil, pressure on the price of oil will be on the down side. On the other hand Ng demand will increase and its price will continue higher.
