can anyone give me an overview of what has happened?
I am not an educated investor but purchased this many years ago at the advice of someone I trusted who is no longer available. It paid great distributions year after year and I see it is a stock now instead of a partnership. Seems that the value has dropped a lot. Can anyone give me an idea of what happened since I still own it? Thank you for your patience and any innsights, Arnie
natural gas prices crashed
The stock price fell
The company planned a new strategy
They tested an oil sand play
The test worked
They are drilling more wells in the oil sands
They are creating a long-lived asset to fund dividends at Lindberg
They still have other oil fields and drilling successes
Don't want to be rude if your post is sincere, but all you have to do is trace the stock price and the news that was happening at that time and now.
If I were you like the poster before me is to look at the current situation and then decide. If you were reinvesting dividends then you should have a considerable amount of stock since you purchased originally..
I have been caring for my elders in the last years of their life by myself. It is a full time job as I am keeping them at home as promised. Lost David but Dorothy is 99.5 now. Just don't have a lot of time to cruze the web,
Thank you very much supershift. Just what I was asking for and fun to see what has happened and some day I will have the time to explore and learn again. Mean time just letting everything ride.
