Not even worth downloading for free which is what my buddy did. He trashed it after spending 30 minutes with it.
Pretty sad when you end up trashing it when you got it free.
"I've never heard a pre-launch projection exceed 5mm units on any title I was involved with."
Thats because they knew you were involved... just kidding buddy! :)
If Godfather's goal was to best GTA SA than they would need over 15M.
>>20M forecast = utterly bogus.<<
It may have been said at one time, or at least that's what somebody thought they heard. I just can't find anyone from EARS who can confirm that projection, or even believe that such a stratospheric number was bandied about.
FWIW, I've had the good fortune of working on a couple of chart-toppers during my 680-year tenure in the VG sector, and I've never heard a pre-launch projection exceed 5mm units on any title I was involved with.
>>Godfather team meeting, straight from Steve Grey (EP).<<
I just AIM'd a friend who was working in ERTS marketing at the time, and she said she never heard any projection higher than 5mm even mentioned for GF, little less committed to. She also pointed out she'd never heard pre-launch projections of 20mm for even a Sims or Madden SKU during her several years at EARS.
Somebody heard some bogus numbers...
We knew that was coming. Its already dropped to # 7 and will soon be forgotten.
I thought this was the game that was going to save the company....LOL
