We are still in a bear market and I would agree its probably not going to be over without another leg down. But meanwhile it can rally hard and I would like to make money today. I can always ride it back down. Or maybe it doesn't come back down. Too far out to know. I first trade the shorter time frame and keep in mind the longer.
Housing won't go up for at least 3 years. The blip this week was expected. If you look at housing numbers for the past decade, February always goes up. Most investors don't know that and buy into the numbers...bad move. They will hold the bag for years to come. Stay away from housing....imo
Really ? Just who do you think it is that would be willing to trade long with the economy showing the way it is?
Earnings Misses are becoming regular occurances and bad news shows up constantly at a monents notice. Do you really think tomorrows jobs reports will show improvement?
Just how much do you think they would be willing to risk on it?
What planet are you living on... in my short 60 years of taking up space on this one I've never seen the economic picture any more ominous than what we are now facing. This market is only in the beginning stage of what is going to be a deep and protracted fall to much much lower levels. Our country is bankrupt and we just keep printing more funny money and spending like a herd of drunken sailors... if I ran my business like they are running my country I'd have been on the streets long ago.
Viking, I couldn't agree with you more. I just turned 60 and have never seen anything like this with only one difference---the spin.
These guys are desperate and treacherous and will do and say whatever is necessary to keep it all from turning to crap. Be hedged is all I can say just in case they keep pulling rabbits out of the hat.
my sentiments exactly,it never fails to amaze me that anyone could be bullish in this economic climate. When you think about the moves and the rhetoric coming out of the fed, the only thing that is changing is market psychology. They're trying to keep the rubes from finding out what is really going on.
