Though it runs contrary to my view of upcoming deflation and gold prices falling further, I just bought back the shares I sold at $1.85 just over a month ago. Still holding onto more dry powder than usual, but I think we could see a short-term bottom.
Congrats to those of you keeping a cool head through all of this. There are times when 10 straight down days or whatever and 20% gives me an ulcer. But the thing to remember is that in the long-term, this pullback is good for Sandstorm shareholders. We are given the opportunity to take advantage of lower prices, as is management when they are structuring their new streams. Though I am waiting to see confirmation of a new stream and/or QE3, I like this price level and it should have good support. Two years from now it's a steal.
I still do think that a Greek exit is inevitable and that will completely disrupt risk markets, more so than what the pundits are projecting. This can get ugly real fast so either have lots of dry powder or some protective puts in place or something like that. We are headed for some near-term deflation.
Mark, glad to see I'm not the only one buying. I was waiting for another deal but I have a good size limit order waiting to be filled @ 7.50. I would have loaded up @ 1.50 pre consolidation. I'll average down from 7.50 if we continue to drop. Good luck to you.JB
I'm with you, and I'm glad it's not just me thats sick of John boy foxes BS. Every time you disagree or do something he doesn't like he uses his fowl mouth and then thinks we care what he has to say, keep buying!
not to worry, I've got plenty of cash and plenty of hedges in place. this is no market environment to be playing a "base case." either Europe goes to shreds and everything drops very quickly, or printing continues and risk assets rise (the two are not mutually exclusive either).
by the way, you got BURNED by JB earlier. his critique of you was spot on. so to save some of my precious time, I will put you on ignore as well.

You are a complete idiot..Greece means nothing except that the Wall Street crooks will use it as a ruse to churn the markets so they can make big commissions..most of the American companies that reported recent earnings either met or beat expectations...the American economy is recovering. Greece is a country that adds little to the economy of the world it could disappear and we would never miss it...the Wall Street crooks will use any excuse to churn the markets so they can make a buck..these crooks should receive jail time for what they are doing to the markets.
