Napodano article ...Science & Bio people please check in :
Questions for the group ... the real group not the hacks who should't be here.. This article says that the first tests will be done minus any cells or drugs just to check for safety ... Correct ?? Next I would assume they try it with cells an drugs ... How long before this once they determine it safe... any guess's. Science people chime in... historically, what do think the success rate should be when comparing humans to the monkeys ?? with cells & drugs ....without cells & drugs .... Hacker losers .. go crawl back under your rocks
I don't recall seeing any definite timelines for scaffold with drugs or cells. The important thing is the first human trials are mostly for determining the safety of the biopolymer scaffold in the body. This first stage platform by itself can have positive affects in preventing paralysis caused by the human body in its' healing process (scar tissue). Proven safety with any positives added can lead to the ability of the company to market the scaffold alone as early as late 2014 or early 2015. Validation of the safety issue by the FDA will allow NVIV to apply for further approval from the FDA to test the scaffold in various combinations within their pipeline. I believe NVIV wants to get their foundation platform, i.e. the scaffold, approved first in order to pave the way for their future submissions. To me the scaffold will be their cornerstone, even though the biopolymer gel can work independently. I guess the gel would be a second cornerstone as well.
