My original position was predicated on the results of the monkeys trials. Over the next couple of years as I became more familiar with Dr. Langer’s work on the hydrogel, I increased my position by 300%. While there will always be some question of the credibility of the monkey trials because of Frank’s involvement, I have never heard a single person question the validity of Dr. Langer’s work. And while the material for the scaffolding was in part Dr. Langer’s creation, it is my understanding that he was not involved in the trials. I don’t think the validity of the hydrogel is ever going to the questioned.
How does it end??
I had a discussion with Frank many years ago in which he stated to me that he’d turned down an offer in the mid-20s for the company. Needless to say, I was very surprised. He told me that the company was worth multiples of that price, and anybody who wanted it would have to pay and pay big. I remember leaving the meeting rather numb realizing this was going to be a rather bumpy road. I realized right then and there that with Frank’s attitude and arrogance and the size of his position in the company, it would be virtually impossible to sell. How could you negotiate with someone like that??
And you actually "believed" Frank??? This clown continues to dump thousands of shares...even after the stock's total collapse. An offer in the mid-20's. Are u #$%$ kidding me??? He makes Bernie Madoff look like Honest Abe...
