in the 80's I rarely saw these #$%$'s cars on the road. In just a few years, #$%$anese brands were everywhere. I remember my 1 year old piece of junk Chevy Monte Carlo and my dad Chevy Chevette broke down almost everyday. One day, my Monte Carlo broke down and I took my dad Chevette to the Pharmacy, came back out the car was gone. I called the Police and they located that Chevette in the bush across the street. The police said the parking brake wasn't working and it was common for the Chevette. The police told me to find a flat surface for parking next time. After getting fed up with junk Chevy junk, friends, families, neighbors and coworkers told me and my dad to get #$%$anese cars and I hated #$%$anese cars at the time, but that was the turning point for me. Even the worst #$%$anese cars today is far far better than the highest quality GM car during pre-Bankruptcy. Just because GM is getting better, it doesn't make #$%$anese cars junk cars like Pontiac, or Chevy before Bankruptcy. I still have a 10 year old Honda Civic and it runs like a champ.
