The NG price is down because we are entering the summer season. The US NG market is limited to home heating and concentrated in the urban area. The LPG, CNG, and LNG market are probably the summer time major demand. Over the next 3 or 4 years the liquid side of the NG sector demand will increase. For one the US is not importing LNG any longer. The degasify LNG plant are or will be converted to liquefaction trains. There are at least 2 LNG liquefactions plants on the boards, one in Sabine pass and one in Freeport. XOM has shown interest in an offshore LNG liquefaction plant offshore north east? NG is getting more buzz, but it is taking time. A NG liquefaction train from financing to first LNG will take 5 years, some of these project are 12 to 18 month old.
