    Re: UMC closing plant,

    Wowgone,
What drugs are you on? You are blaming the global slow done in the technology sector on the results of an election in Taiwan?

If you lived in California you'd be blaming the rolling black outs on George Bush..

    Who's responsible for "Global Warming"?

    The PRC?

You have a good rant going but it is getting OLD.

Get a list of the big donors, and check their stock performance. I am not accusing that they did not donate the $ out of love, but somehow their wishes have come true since.

Let's check the utilization rates of several foundries. CSM and STM have roughly 30% while TSM is at the high 30s. UMC recently was dumped by XLNX, and some foundries dropped to less than 10%. Both CSM and STM have to let go of a significant portion of their work force, and those remain have to take a big pay cut. They also put some foundries on hot stand by. How many workers from UMC or TSM was layoff? How many of their plants were idled? During the global slow down, why do they still want to build new antiquated factories?

Do you know the meaning of black and white faces? Unfortunately DPP and Moses are ineffective and corrupted $ managers. Recently Moses donated $ to a university, more than the sum of his lifetime legal income. What can you do about it?

BTW, what does your name stand for? TNT?

I guess his name stands for caffeine (C8H10N4O2) + one hydrate (H2O). But, it can also be lots of other compounds with the same molecular formula.

TNT is an abbreviation for trinitrotoluene (C7H5N3O6)-- the major ingredient of the dynamite.

        Just for your curiosity.
