Microsoft has reached a settlement in a patent-infringement lawsuit filed last year by Vertical Computer Systems, according to a filing by the mediator in the case: PDF, 1 page. The Fort Worth, Texas, company's complaint alleged that Microsoft's .Net development system violated a patent issued to Vertical in November 2004. -----------
Now that Microsoft has settled with VCSy and has begun announcing many advancements to Sharepoint, there are many catching on.
Have you, Al? Or are you still claiming VCSY will be bankrupt and their intellectual property sold? That WAS what you've been saying since last year, wasn't it?
Imagine what will happen when others find that they too will have the ability to interoperate their applications across the web by using VCSY's patented technology(Others = Adobe, IBM, VMware, Google, and the list just goes on & on.........)
http://mobilitysite.com/2008/08/next-gen-office-standard-approved/ Now "the decks are now cleared for final development of the next generation of Microsoft Office"... "One of the key demands of various European and international standards boards to begin lifting all the anti-trust barriers against Microsoft was the adoption of an XML based, open document standard."..."Originally expected to be approved last march, the delays concerning the OOXML stanard will likely push the next version of Office to late 2009. However, we can expect much more interoperability with Web 2.0 applications, a greater focus on collaboration tools and “role” based interfaces and the merging of SharePoint Server with the other elements of the Office suite."

Odd, isn't it, reader? Before the first of August Microsoft couldn't do anything right in XML. Now, all of a sudden, they're given the green light to move on with their XML development.
Gee. That's funny. What a "coincidence".
And if you don't understand why that coincidence is a landmark in software industry advancement, you don't need to be buying VCSY stock. Do what Al and his ilk are telling you to do. Go away. Why? Because you'll be at the mercy of every wank who wants to seperate you from those shares. Better you don't start.
Leave it for the rest of us to accumulate.
Still not convinced? Check out the little diagram on the website. Understand what it's telling you? Yes? Study. No? Go away.
