Why is it I only get calls from recruiters when I'm out of town?
Not just one, but many different ones over the years. I sit at home during weekdays for weeks--nothing. The day I leave to care for an elder relative, or stay past the weekend, more than one different agency calls me. It's not as if I have friended them on Google's GPS tracking software Latitude. At least one conducted an interview on Skype on a Saturday morning-nothing came of it.
Years ago, I would tell a recruiter when I'd be out of town, and of course, they'd call me while I was away-why? So they could say I turned them down and not have to pay unemployment? Do their UE premiums go up if a lot of former employees are collecting? Would that affect their stock price?
