anyone else get a letter stating that the bars have been reformulated and now they taste good and would i be willing to try them again at a substaantial discount to the original price
Yup. We got the letter yesterday. I'm concerned about the pricing. In my wife's hospital gift store, we sell PowerBars for $2.49 and people grump. All the other nutritional bars are priced at 1.75. The margin on bars like this are 40%. That would put the retail of IB bars at $4.15, although she would probably drop that to 3.99. That is still way to high. At $3.49 the gross profit margin would be 28.6% and that is no doubt what they would have to retail and I have my doubts that they would even sell at that level.
My copy of the letter arrived yesterday. And just to "own up" to my usage of EFSF products, I keep Cinnergen in the refrigerator even though I do not have a sugar problem.I take a swig whenever I feel the need to take extra good care of myself. And, I've tried the ImmuneBoost bars. The taste was certainly acceptable but I'm glad they have recognized the need to make them more palatable for a wider audience. eom
Try you redirected my question why are they reformulating something they are selling the rights too or selling outright? I understand you usually only have good things to say about this company and good for you but this stock has not rewarded you for your loyalty.
My question is if they are selling them to another company as some on this board have rumored why would we be reformulating them? That doesn't make sense at all let the company that is buying the immune boost bars incur that expense. But I really believe thats what happens when you listen to rumors and not pr's from efood you get bamboozled.
Well anyway that can only help sales if they are good for you and taste good as well. GLTA
