Now here's a real veteran.
Serious wounds. Serious combat.
I heard on the news tonight that he said Kerry should apologize for his anti-war statements and that he questions leaving Vietnam after little more than four months with ONLY superficial wounds.
The critics are beginning to line up and Kerry's record is in serious doubt.
Thank you Bob Dole, a true war hero.
""CBush probably would not have been allowed to go to Nam whie his father was CIA Director. areer: Political leader. Received the Distinguished Flying Cross for Bravery during World War II; U.S. congressman from Texas (1966-1970), ambassador to the United Nations (1971-1974); Special Envoy to China (1974-1975); Republican National Chairman (1975-1976); Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director (1976-1977); vice president of the U.S. (1981-1989); president of the U.S. (1989-1993).
I wasn't *including* the Saudis to invalidate your post-- I was REPLACING Iraq with Saudi Arabia, as I believe any statements regarding Iraq's alleged prior support of Al Queda to be doubtful to say the least whereas Saudi support has been adequately demonstrated to my satisfaction.
"I say if you believe Bush you can't disbelieve Kerry. I also believe if you believe Kerry you can't disbelieve Bush"
I don't see how the two are mutually exclusive. I can see truths and falsehoods in what both of them say, quite frankly.
"As for pettiness I've seen some of Bushes as you point out. But I've also seen pettiness in Kerry too that you didn't point out."
The subject was Bush supporters' questionable bashing of Kerry's war record. If the other side is shown to engage in this and we get into it then I'll identify pettiness where I see it. Fair is fair.
Thats true. Saudi Arabia is deeper in the middle of the problem than most Americans know, or care to. The US bureaucracy will not come to grips with the Saudi's because of the politics of oil, no matter which party is in the White House.
We wern't discussing Saudi Arabia so I did not inject them into my response. Including the Saudi's does not invalidate my post. Mearly shows how large the problem really is.
