I watch the supply/demand number daily and the numbers don't lie. Producers are still flowing gas at an unbelievebable pace. They need the cash so they won't stop, especially the folks who paid over $10,000 acrea. Trust me on this, we are going much lower. We need to get so slow producers go bankrupt. Banks aren't allowing mergers at 5 times earnings to happen.
its going to take time but rebound in nat gas is inevitable. I think coming regulation on coal is going to favor less polluting nat gas. It might not be comfortable to invest at this time and there could be a little more downside but this is a temporary situation and nat gas has to go higher in time. lol. i have been saying that for some time, but i know i will be right one day. You know one other thing is that a lot of companies have good nat gas hedges and when they come off, will have less to invest in drilling and might even shut in more production.
You could be right but i tend to think there is not much downside risk here. Drilling has slowed a lot, there is natural production decline, and there is some gas getting shut in. Many companies have cut their exploration and development budgets. Now if new infrastructure builds start to demand steel, concrete, etc again it will add. Other big nat gas useres like oil sands and maybe soon fertilizer are starting to see new growth again.
Then why the heck would you buy now, when you know there will be 4.0 tcf of gas in the ground by October? Dec futures are already practically $6.00. So you're holding for a June '10 price rise? Meanwhile you lose money every month with each roll, waiting for prices to rise.
"To [sic] much gas"
Gee you can't spell "too," either. Just like catwomen[sic].
Either the number of clinically stupid people is growing rapidly or someone is going through an identity crisis.
"Where do you get such numbers?"
Mark, alias the catwomen, gets those numbers when she closes her eyes real tight and says: "I believe in fairies."
The she focuses on one of the numbers all day waiting for it to do something.
