Why this move?
Dow hit seven-year high today.
Recent employment and housing data encouraging.
Congress actually agreeing on some legislation.
Fiscal cliff talk pushed somewhat out of the major headlines for now.
Good corporate earnings season and guidance.
LGF following recipe for success: avoid big losses/create A-list tentpole films.
Plus, it reduced debt.
All good things.
That's not to say this is going to last for months and months.
But enjoy it for now if you're long LGF.
Still, Warm Bodies, which cost the studio about $35 million, should play well with younger audiences thanks to its PG-13 rating and youthful source material, and it’s headed for a nice mid-sized weekend.
A huge box office + sequels add up to another BILLIONS$$$ franchise.
I think there is HUGE shorting today which is temporarily restraining a further rise.
Of course YHOO,FB,MSFT,AAPL,GOOG are looking at LGF, at minimum.
