Very excited to learn details of what went down other than pps..Look for some amazing surprises and aggressive insiders buying...It will be very detailed and bullish and written with great satisfaction to shareholders....There is zero doubt in my mind that we are way oversold and it will be a race for the biggest holders to lower their cost asap...Remember that their cost is way above 4.75 per share....quiet period should end soon....remember insiders have a very short window of time to purchase shares...it will be very interesting to look at the holdings as of june 30...who increased their positions and so forth....this pps will increase back to the 6.50 range and then BOOM....it will be the GOM asset sale then we are at 8.00 price range Now we need nat gas prices to creep in the mid 4 dollar range and hold!!.....it will then take another major press release saying that SD has retained a MAJOR investment banking firm to sell the whole company....FINAL PRICE 13 TO 15 BUCKS.....ALL WITHIN 6 MONTHS....I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE A SHORT THIS STOCK !!!!!!!!!!!!
The only thing that really matters is earnings going forward. PPS is a function of future earnings prospects and interest rates. Interest rates are always a factor when valuing a company with a lot of dept because of the relative view of value at different rate levels. SD also needs some positive moves in what they produce (hydrocarbons). There is no shortage of headwinds for petro-energy companies, but therein lay the opportunities. I don't expect much to change until mid-late 2014 if economic forecasts meet the expectations of the Fed. I think the prospects for revenue and profit growth at SD are better than most of the companies who will have to slug-it-out over consumer discretionary spending.
Insiders are now prohibited to buy or sell from end of quarter until quarterly report is released. The hedgies won't report what they bought or sold for Q2 until July14th or 15th. They have until 7-15 to report.....and they wait till last minute. DaninFW
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Good to know their current position pps average. I sold out at $7.40....looking to jump back in and hold until some positive news moves the price up. My only problem is I bought in at $7. I only avoided the steep decline. Made about $5K and took a LOT of risk. I like TPG (Singh).
