My local CVS carries ZyrtexD, no Nexafed. Z is available behind the counter with the others, yet I noticed a large counter display at the check out. Why would they not carry Nexafed. Any thoughts as to why Nexafed is not being carried at a large pharmacy.
There is apparently no marketing strategy to "push" at this point. The emphasis has been on selling pharmacists and the chains to stock. The end-user has seen little to prompt a request for Nexafed and unlike the competition, there is virtually no brand recognition. I have noticed Zyrtex and others with POP displays at Kroger, CVS, etc. Also, a brand selection board at the top shelf, which looks to be printed by one of the pharmas, lists the product selection available from the pharmacist, sans Nexafed of course.
