Bob Quartermain was named in a class action lawsuit - Could this be why stock isn't performing well?
The CEO, Bob Quartermain, was named in a class action lawsuit against the company (hit Google).
Could this be why the stock isn't tracking the gold price? Any thoughts anyone? Love to discuss and figure out if it is a big risk or not....Comments please...Open to discuss this class action lawsuit against Pretium, Bob Quartermain and others.
The start of underground drilling was delayed until September due to a request for a better water treatment system to be constructed. That has taken the shares off some people's watch list, however, there still may be a little more surface drilling done? The lawsuit is meaningless now, as company has too much evidence.
Thanks for getting back to me. You actually provided a sensible answer - which is rare on these boards and appreciated.
On my end - I think the lawsuit probably does still matter. Some investors, not all, will avoid the stock. I also wonder if Bob Quartermain's reputation is sullied by this, and if it will affect he company. He was a "student" of Murry Pezim after all. And now here we are with a big class action lawsuit and his name all over the web. Well, let's hope not. But it is a real possibility....
