The unemployment rate dropped due to more people who stopped looking for work, and thus not counted as unemployed. 170k jobs created? Under Reagan it was 1 million jobs created in ONE month, but he averaged 400k jobs.
The Socialist is putting and more people out of work.
The number of jobs created last month was revised downward by 49k too.
Very superficial and highly partisan analysis, Lib. This has been the weakest economic recovery since the great depression and the labor participation rate is nearing an all time low. Why? Because Obama and his minions have pushed a social agenda which included populist rhetoric against capital, writing thousands of pages of suffocating regulations, pushing punitive taxation of the producers and creating a healthcare system whose costs will be staggering. All this has created enormous uncertainty in the private sector. Small wonder biz has not been robust.
What growth has been achieved is not due to Obama's feckless economic ideas, it iis due to the private sector, primed with an abundance of low cost money, moving ahead with margina investment.
Resolution of the fiscal cliff on his terms will be a signficant drag on our economy.
It's real scary now. You have an incompetent community organizer who has a free pass to do anything he wants. He gets a free pass for anything because the liberal press will never say anything about what he does and his supporters have NO clue what the issues are. They only voted for him because he's Black and speaks well. They will attack you if you say anything bad about their Messiah.
Norway's unemployment running around 3%. Other Scandinavian countries are higher but well below us. Most quality of life metrics, especially those pertaining to health care, have them kicking our butts.
Just can't stand it when the USA is recovering can you? Obama policies have been creating jobs for 3 years now and you just will not accept it. That is long term denial. As soon as this fiscal cliff gets resolved you'll see robust recovery with the republican foot dragging at an end.
