The message board is exactly the problem. There just doesn't seem to be much attention focused on CMGI.
David W., the CEO, is really excellent and the reason I hold on to the stock. I know he has a lot of vision, but I just can't get it in focus myself and that concerns me. I don't see how the blocks fit together and there is no "product" providing a revenue stream. Money is made by buying and selling companies... which makes setting a valuation on the company nearly impossible.
Exactly, CMGI is basically an internet related holding co., similar to Berkshire Hathaway and some others. So how does the market place a valuation on them? And, is that an appropriate model to apply in this case since CMGI invests in start-ups, pre-IPO's. Maybe a better model is Thermo-Electron?
