How about did you notice that the CEO was in Mad Money and coincidentally there is an price upgrade this morning amazing isn't it. I don't trade SE but I see this so much when an exec comes on his show.
What did you think you were getting from a utility/pipeline company. This is definitely not Google.
I think it is probably not talked about for the flowing reasons:
1. 70% of the shares are held buy institutions.
2. The original value at the spin off from Duke was very high and the stock tanked by 60% in the 2009 melt down. I think a lot of individuals are still PO'ed about that. If they held on they are barely back to even.
3. The how many individual investors actually look at the presentations and listen to the conference calls and have any clue at all to what is happening. probably not many.
I bought SE when it was down in 2009 and continued to amass a decent position as the price rose and earnings and the dividend increased. They are also partnered with PSX in DCP partners. I also own a decent amount of PSX and love both of these stocks. When you consider the massive investment that they are undertaking in pipelines, midstream, storage, NGL's marketing, etc. This is actually a very exciting story.
