    To All the Tea-Tards

Who said Obamacare would hurt or kill SYK, looks like SYK thinks the opposite:

from MarketWatch about the SYK Analyst Day today: "President and Chief Executive Kevin Lobo, about to complete his first year at Stryker’s helm, also said that President Obama’s health-care overhaul should either be neutral or give a modest lift to business. Fitch Ratings made similar comments in relation to St. Jude STJ in a note on Friday.

Lobo said the company’s medical business could see gains once hospitals adjust to Obamacare’s new call for more patient satisfaction, and it could help in cycling patients out and making more beds available. Stryker’s knee replacement business also could see gains if Obamacare has the effect of encouraging more insured patients to get those surgeries done.

“There are people that have been sitting on the sidelines and they have all been waiting for one of these [procedures],” Lobo said. “I think that we could see a positive there, again [it's] difficult to predict the timing.”"
