The MGMT here does not wish to grow the company. The VP is nearly out, basically just a silent partner collecting dividends, selling stock and playing golf. Hey, can't say I blame him. I think this company could do some serious restructuring by cutting the dividend and reinvest these monies into company owned stores, marketing and expansion. I own roughly 2% of the company and have been seriously considering to do this myself. The float is so shallow that any aggressive move will spike the stock 10 fold from here, which will price me out. I am here to stay and for now, content with the dividend until a solid expansion plan is pieced together. Until then, buy some UPST. This stock should go up 100 fold or more over the next year. Profits from that may allow me the luxory to buy my BABB up to 10%....
BAB, Inc. announced its tax treatment of cash distributions made in 2011.
For shareholders of BAB, Inc. common stock, Cusip 055183107, as regards to cash distributions made in 2011, 78.48% of the cash distributions paid in 2011 represent a return of capital and 21.52% represent a dividend for tax purposes.
since '06 BAB has paid a dividend in every quarter. In '05 they paid in 2 quarters but paid a dividend 4 times its regular dividend in the last quarter. in '04 they paid dividens in 3 quarters and paid a 4x divi. in the last quarter. Why is anybody complaining? If the stock remains flat forever and they keep paying a 10%+ divi. great! How many other places is anyone getting a 10% annual return?
