PG&E and the other for-profit California utility companies are taking us for a ride. Out-of-state energy corporations are raking in record profits. Our rates are rising, schools are forced to cut back in order to pay PG&E, and hundreds of thousands of sick and elderly live in fear of more rolling blackouts.
Enough is Enough! Join the protest! Bring your PG&E bill and tell the politicians and the energy companies that we won't pay for their greed.
* Saturday, February 24 @ Noon
* Rally at 16th Street BART Station in SF
* March to PG&E payment center at 21st St.
* Rally with music, theatre and speeches in Dolores
Help publicize the rally by printing and distributing flyers. You can get them at
Fuk'n right for once! Hey Fuk'n the stock was up almost a buck fifty. Good call on the rally. You did such a good job you and your slicky boys can take Saturday off. Go play in traffic or pound your head against the wall real hard... I'm sure it will feel better when you stop.
By the way besides there being enough juice now (Gee, what do you suppose that does to the price of juice at the wholesale level?), reservoirs are filling rapidly and the price of oil and nat gas heading south, I'd say the cash flow should be heading in the right direction. No wonder those boneheaded PG&E execs. stiffed Davis... or was it familiarity breeds contempt? PG&E said they had a billion in cash sitting around. I wonder how much that has been added to since Governor Bonehead started buying the juice? The margins/spreads ought to be getting better every day. Shorts are getting it in the shorts.
It's just a matter of time before we hear how fukface has been robbed and the people of California have been screwed. Bankruptcy_moron with his arrogant and foolish postings will be long gone. Sorry, but it must suck to be a jackass!!!
To everybody that posted their crap against me you're about to feel your dream come true. You're going to take it in the ass even more. I've almost doubled my money in a month. How does it feel you jackasses?!?!?!?!I couldn't say it any better..........
SHUT UP AND PAY UP!!!--ilocs69 (give him credit)
Go to Cuba and live with daily power blackouts! You are what is wrong with California - you want a free lunch, and you probably live in a studio apartment in the Mission on rent control. Your electric bill is probably only $30 a month! You don't see me complaining - my bill is $300 a month, and it should be double - THEN I would conserve.
pcg is also a victim in this mess. If you fight, you should fight against the Power Companies that took over the generators and the FERC(or bush administration). FERC could have put a cap on the wholesale price but they repeatedly refused to do so. You sounded to me like Gray Davis, who was unable( or afraid) to fight against the FERC(Bush) and tried to find a victim elsewhere. The root cause of the whole mess is the power companies and the one who protecting them - FERC. Siezing facilities of pcg or bankrupt the company is not a solution.
Fight your moronic politicians, they are the cause of this mess. Fight Gay Davis, he could've nipped this in the bud but put his career before the people of California. He had plenty of warning. Blame the people of California that cave in to the jackass liberals and environmental groups.
FERC is not to blame for this mess. Curt Hebert is smart enough to know that capping this market will not fix it. Every company in the world is greedy. If they see a market opportunity, they will build plants, alot of them. Power pools that have sufficient generation and transmission do not act this way. New York City will feel the pain next because of their decision not to upgrade transmission lines that badly need it. (state run, remember??)
Power companies are not to blame. They are doing what they're in business to do, make money. Fix your flawed market, it's your only hope.
Yes PLEASE march to the PG&E payment center at 21st St. on Saturday and by all means bring those bills so you can PAY UP and SHUT UP!!! (Appologies to Monybags for infringement on intellectual property rights)
You're right - much better to bankrupt the utility; rather than pay for the electricity that you are using.
If you want to fight back - fight against the power companies that are "raking in record profits". The utilities are merely caught in the middle of the financial mess created by the CA legislature.
