6 years Study shows LOVAZA ineffective in reducing heart attacks.ORIGIN study in NEjournal
6 years study--Origin-results were published in New England Journal for LOVAZA.It showed that Lovaza is INEFFECTIVE. They mention that C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) reduction is important.Lovaza does not lower CRP,but VASCEPA does that in 4 gram/day dosage.
It seems that VASCEPA should reduce Strokes and heart attacks--when results are available in 2015 or 2016.
Anyone taking Fish oil or Lovaza might be fooling themselves in believing that it will reduce their Stroke or heart attack risks. Reducing trigylcerides is NOT enough--any drug must also reduce C-rp.
