Why wouldn't AZN buy amrn now?

Anchor de risked w sNDA acceptance
Sales force already on the ground selling brillianta
Shareholders getting impatient w patent cliffs
    Plenty plenty of cash
    Get it before someone else.

Basically AZN can easily afford to buy amrn now and ramp sales for marine. In the off off chance anchor gets pushed for outcomes study it will still grow and leverage the sales force already in place. Better earlier than wait for a bidding war....

    • Um...cause we have a really bullheaded, greedy CEO who wants $30+. And there is a 0% chance that anyone offers anything close to $30 a share when the stock is in the $6s. That is why. Joe Z is the kink in any buyout, he wants an unrealistic amount that no BP will ever offer. So instead of shareholder getting $15-$20, they get stuck with $7.

      • how do you know Joe is looking for 30? bullheaded greedy? really if you take an honest look at the progress he's made , i would have to say he's doing a good job, everyone is frustrated at the pps, but that can and will change (IMO) very rapidly as we move closer to pdufa date, now is the time to buy, buy, buy, and I have been,,,,,,,or am I missing something? my sell finger twitches all day long on stocks I own, but for some reason it's very calm right now with AMRN
