First let me say that I do not have any "inside" insight, but would like to hazard a guess as to what's next at AAP. I think that the upcoming earnings announcement will be a disappointment. Following it, I expect some heads to start to roll. I expect that it will reach into the upper levels with a long timer or two out the door. DJ and KF remain, but they had best figure a way to 1) get some feet through the doors to hike the DIY biz and 2) reduce the SGA expense numbers. Lots of grumbling at filed level over store staffing, etc. AAP is at a crossroads.
Anyone who does DIY auto seriously does not go to AAP. Why? Don't have the parts you need; can't get the parts you need; computerized inventory says they have 3 of an item and they really have none; help doesn't know a tie rod from a piston rod; what they do have is overpriced;
